Old Fairbury telephone books can be a very valuable research tool. You can find out where your ancestor used to live.

If you are doing house history, you can look up the adress and find out who lived in that house. This can be time consuming because the books are organized alphabetically by last name, but it can be done.

Paper copies of more modern phone books, like the 1980s, are kept at the Fairbury Echoes Museum.
